The Greene County boys basketball team is gearing up for the start of their season, with coach Chris Nelson looking for the team to improve on last year’s 10-13 record.
This will be Nelson’s 17th year coaching, year eight at Greene County. This season puts 25 athletes on the roster, with players taking on new positions to help aid in success for the team.
“Improvement is key number one and the second key is being competitive each night. We have a lot of guys in new roles this year that we are excited to see how they perform,” explained Nelson.
Nelson also said he feels the team is a competitive group, with similar skills sets, making practices competitive: “I think as we work, improve and compete, we will surprise some people this year.”
The Rams are scheduled to open the season on Monday, Nov. 27, in Ogden; Tuesday, Nov. 28, at home against Panorama and on Friday, Dec. 1, at PCM High School.
